The college mascot position involves representing SJR State at various events, promoting school spirit, and entertaining crowds.
The role requires a high-energy, outgoing individual with strong non-verbal communication skills to embody the mascot's personality and engage with fans of all ages. Events include parades, community events, graduation, open house, athletic events, marketing photos/video for the college, etc. Hours will vary each month, depending on the schedule of events.
Requirements include:
• It is a physically demanding role. Good physical stamina and endurance to perform in the costume for extended periods.
• A willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends), adapt to different environments, and handle unexpected situations.
• Height requirement for costume ranges between 5’8” – 6’2”.
• Size requirement for costumes - cannot fit XL or larger.
• Eyeglasses cannot be worn with costume.
