This position requires a commitment of up to 20 hours per week during the current semester. The college mascot position involves representing SJR State at various events, promoting school spirit, and entertaining crowds. The role requires a high-energy, outgoing individual with strong non-verbal communication skills to embody the mascot's personality and engage with fans of all ages. Events include parades, community events, graduation, open house, athletic events, marketing photos/video for the college, etc. Hours will vary each month, depending on the schedule of events. Requirements include: • It is a physically demanding role. Good physical stamina and endurance to perform in the costume for extended periods. • A willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends), adapt to different environments, and handle unexpected situations. • Height requirement for costume ranges between 5’8” – 6’2”. • Size requirement for costumes - cannot fit XL or larger. • Eyeglasses cannot be worn with costume.
